Cocktail and Tapa Pairing Workshop

Come and discover the perfect pairing for your favourite cocktails and become a real expert. In our Cookery Classroom, Master Cocktail Maker Roberto León and Assistant Head Chef Rafael de León will be demonstrating how to make the tapas that pair perfectly with Margaritas, Daiquiris, Pisco Sours and Espresso Martinis. And we'll let you into a secret: there will be a host of delicious surprises, including ceviche, Bluefin tuna, foie gras, tomato chutney and yoghurt powder.
The Cookery Classroom at the Mencey is available for hire for all types of private events, with or without a chef. We offer full use of our facilities and kitchenware. You can opt to provide your own ingredients and drinks and we will supply an assistant to guarantee the success of your celebration. The space will be set up to suit your needs; all you have to do is cook and attend to your guests.
Half day (4 hours): €600
Full day (8 hours): €900
The price includes table and kitchen set-up, as well as a post-event cleaning service. Prices are approximate; they may vary according to the materials and staff required for the event.
We can organise cookery courses for groups, offering you the chance to get together with friends or family and enjoy a private cookery course, or alternatively you can arrange your own personalised course. You can create a specific menu or do a themed course (we offer courses specialising exclusively in Canary Island cheeses, as well as rice dishes, Japanese cuisine, pastries & desserts, bread, gin & tonic tasting sessions, etc.).
The Mencey Cookery Classroom is the perfect venue for press conferences, product presentations, business meetings and gastronomic experiences for corporate or private groups, as well as conventions including special options such as cookery and cocktail courses, wine tasting sessions and a host of other alternatives.

The Mencey Cookery Classroom also invites brides and grooms to a menu tasting session. The hotel is a leading wedding venue, and couples will have the chance to enjoy a fabulous show cooking demonstration and sample several tasting menus, enabling them to choose the one that best meets their requirements.
